OPEN CALL: ⁀➷ Residing Non-linear Technologies and Sonic Worldings ⁀➷. A new Helsinki–Turku residency for artists working with sound, media and technology!
Are you a Nordic or Baltic-based artist ready to spend February–March 2027 between Helsinki and Turku? Two months of research, mentoring and dialogue with the Finnish media art and sonic art scene, hosted by @mcult.helsinki and @titanik_turku.
The residency invites artists working in sound, media and digital arts to explore vernacular and non-linear technological and sonic environments, shifting focus away from “progress” narratives of big tech, toward local, indigenous and community-oriented perspectives.
What we offer for each artist:
– 2 months accommodation, split between Helsinki and Turku + travel costs
– Studio access at Titanik + desk space at M-Cult
– 3,500€ artist fee + 2,000€ production budget
– Mentoring, networking and two public presentations
