The state of Baden-Württemberg offers institutions and artists the opportunity to temporarily use the large gallery space on the first floor of the Kunstgebäude as an exhibition area.
After the general renovation, which was completed in spring 2024, the building is again available to the public for exhibition purposes and for events. The aim is to provide a professional presentation environment for changing artistic positionings and forms of expression. Interested institutions and artists are invited to apply for the use of the area of (183 sqm).

Period and Availability
The duration of the play can be flexible between 2 weeks and 2 months. The following dates have already been documented by the Stuttgarter Künstlerbund or the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart:
01.01.2027 – 30.06.2027
01.01.2028 – 30.06.2028
The remaining free periods are available for further use.
Use
The exhibition space can be used for different formats, e.g. B.:
Visual arts.
Installations.
Performance formats taking into account the existing soundscape by the gastronomy.
Media and space art.
Project work.
Usage requirements
Only group exhibitions; applications from solo artists are not possible.
No sale of art objects may take place as part of the exhibition.
No admission may be charged for the exhibition.
The supervisor is responsible for the guarding during the opening hours.
Due to the open architecture to the gastronomy, formats that cause loud noises are not possible.
Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00 and Thursdays until 20:00. Different opening hours must be agreed with the operator.
The exhibitor shall be liable for all damage caused by him or his visitors.
The exhibitor must prove liability insurance before the start of use.
The exhibitor must strictly comply with the house rules, which will be handed over to him before the start of use.
