OPEN CALL: O-Overgaden INTRO
O – Overgaden now invites for the eighth time in a row newly qualified visual artists to apply to participate in INTRO 2027. INTRO is a particularly resourceful one-year course that, with generous full funding from Aage and the Johanne Louis-Hansen Foundation, is offered to two young artists. INTRO focuses on supporting newly graduated positions associated with Denmark towards sustainable arts development and international exchange. As part of the course, each artist develops a solo exhibition, which opens at O – Overgaden in November 2027
application criteria:
You / You must have:
A higher artistic education from a Danish art academy or equivalent abroad within the past five years (with departure from 2021 or later).
Primary attachment to the Danish art scene.
Interest in receiving tailor-made sparring in relation to all aspects of your artistic work with a focus on collaboration, development and critical dialogue.
the INTRO program includes:
A one-year modular sparring process with Danish and international curators, artists, art professional advisors, etc. specifically designed for the individual artist in close collaboration with O – Overgaden’s team.
Fee of 50,000 kr.
Travel scholarship of 30,000 kr.
Support for exhibition production
O – Overgaden assists the artist with further fundraising for work production
Exhibition at O – Overgaden in the period November 2027 – January 2028 (expected)
