The Federico Jorge Klemm Foundation presents the twenty-ninth edition of the Klemm Prize, an initiative aimed at promoting the practice and expression of visual arts artists in Argentina. The call is aimed at creators of Argentine nationality over 18 years of age, whether native, naturalized or foreign who prove more than two years of legal residence in the country.
The main incentive of the contest is that the distinguished works with the first positions become a definitive part of the Permanent Collection of the institution.
The digital registration period began on June 17, 2026 and will remain in force until September 4, 2026 at 23:59 hours, and the entire procedure must be managed exclusively through the official web platform of the prize.
To apply, each participant can submit a maximum of a work of his authorship that has been executed after the year 2021.
The contest supports multiple contemporary disciplines (such as painting, sculpture, photography, installations, video art or works processed with new technologies), provided that they meet essential requirements of stability, durability and security for the public.
In spatial terms, two-dimensional pieces cannot exceed 230 cm x 250 cm, while three-dimensional pieces have a limit of 230 cm x 280 cm x 200 cm and must be modular to facilitate their physical transfer within the headquarters.
In the online form you must attach the technical sheet of the proposal, a short artistic curriculum Vitae, two digital images of previous works as a reference of trajectory and mandatory personal documentation.
The evaluation of the contest is divided into a selection stage for the physical sample and a final phase of the award, both unappealably ruled by a jury composed this year by Carla Barbero, Guadalupe Chirotarrab, Leandro Martínez Depietri, Carlos Huffmann and Pablo La Padula.
The creators who are selected for the exhibition will have the management and coverage of the transfer of their works by the foundation (both for residents of the AMBA and the interior of the country).
Finally, the awarded economic awards are distributed in a First Prize Acquisition of $7,000, a Second Prize Acquisition of $4,000,000 and two non-acquisition Mentions of $1,500,000 each; the results will be publicly announced on the same day of the inauguration of the exhibition.
