Mime fabriek and Boogiebos present: The second edition of our residency trajectory ‘Fuck around and find out’, is here!
Apply for a two-week residency program organised by Mime fabriek and Boogiebos.
We want to provoke a collaboration between two artists that inspire and challenge each other’s practices into common research. This residency focuses on the idea you can’t shake, not your masterpiece, but the one that keeps whispering. We aren’t after finished masterpieces, but rather want to stimulate a curious, soft and provocative meeting.
This open call is inviting mimers/physical theatre/dance performers and makers who are looking to share their ideas and guide someone into their artistic questions.
This experiment is offered to two types of participants:
*Those with a clear idea to explore
*Those ready to dive into someone else’s process
The residency will take place in two locations:
20-24th July 2026: you’ll be working in Boogiebos. Where you receive a studio, to work and co-habitate in the forest in Belgium.
27-31st July 2026: you’ll be working in Amsterdam, where the studio of Mime fabriek is available for working towards a presentation of your findings
2nd of August 2026: presentations will be held in Mime fabriek.
We take freedom to match two artists based on the application, whilst making sure there is time to connect before the two-week residency begins. Boogiebos and Mime fabriek are led by independent artists [we are not production houses] and this is our attempt for teasing and creating a playful platform for artistic exchange. We offer you a space and an artistic match, there is no fee available, but we will make sure to take good care of you.
