OPEN CALL: Exhibition proposal for SANS! New Worlds 2028

Sorø Art Museum and Holstebro Art Museum invite professional visual artists to create a sensuous and imaginative exhibition project. The project must first and foremost possess high artistic quality, and we also emphasize that the exhibition appeals to both children and adults.
SANS! New Worlds
Holstebro Art Museum and Sorø Art Museum show every two years in the period 2024-2028 a sensory exhibition under the overall title Sans! New Worlds. This Open Call concerns the third and final exhibition in the series, which will take place in 2028.
The sensory exhibition will open the world of art to visitors of all ages. Based on seductive visual and tactile universes that appeal to both sensing and reflection, we want to invite our guests to see, touch, smell and listen. It is important that the exhibition contributes to a tangible and curious relationship with art and the big questions it asks. By experiencing art with the body, we learn more about ourselves and our surroundings.
The audience’s active participation is a key element of SANS! New worlds with which our ambition is to present artistic total experiences that playfully contain great narrative power.
Who can apply?
Professional visual artists, possibly in collaboration with scenographers, architects or designers. You can apply as a single artist, duo or group.
