Art centre dedicated to cross-disciplinary research and experimental practice. Through exhibitions, workshops, and long-term research, we bring together artists, designers, and experts to challenge conventional boundaries across art, science, and culture.
who can apply:
Visual artists, writers, designers, and researchers at an early stage of their careers. You must be based in the Netherlands and registered with the KVK. Formal art training isn’t required. Collectives may apply.
Mediamatic is especially interested in existing work or projects that can be adapted to fit the residency theme.
What’s included:
2-month residency (July–August 2026, flexible timing)
€600/month residency fee + separate fee for the final work

One-month presentation of your final work (opening in September)

CV, portfolio + artist statement, and a short motivation letter (max 250 words) that outlines your project idea. Images welcome.
Note: The final work will be shown outdoors around the Biotope, so keep weather and security in mind.
