Call for Ceramic Art Biennale

The 2026 Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Biennale. Now in its third edition, the Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Biennale has become one of China’s leading academic platforms for global porcelain art exchange. Recognised by the international art community and academia, the Biennale significantly contributes to the global exchange and promotion of porcelain culture.

The 2026 edition is centred on the theme ‘The Future of Ceramics’. It invites reflection on how the field can bridge its historic legacy, contemporary diversity and technological evolution. The basis of this year’s inquiry is questions surrounding the convergence of tradition and innovation, and how ceramics might evolve in a rapidly changing cultural landscape.

Taking place in June 2026 in Jingdezhen, China, the Biennale welcomes submissions from ceramic artists, designers, students, educators and interdisciplinary practitioners of all ages and genders from all countries. Entries may be submitted in the following categories: vessels, sculptures, paintings, installations or videos.

deadline: 25 December 2025
