ITFS 2026 Call for Entries is Now Open. The 33rd Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) takes place May 5-10, 2026, focusing on artistic animated films and the promotion of young talent. Prizes for competition winners will total over 50,000 euros, awarded across five competition categories. Submissions are now being accepted – the submission deadlines are show below:
International Competition for animated short films
Student Competition for animated short films by students
Tricks for Kids – competition for animated short films and series for children
Trickstar Nature Award – competition for animated short films on nature and the environment
The submission deadline for feature-length film competition, AniMovie, is January 15, 2026:
Animated feature films 60 minutes or longer in length
Film submissions are handled via the online submission platform Shortfilmdepot. Registration forms and regulations can be found on the ITFS website.
