Young artists residing in Germany, Austria or Switzerland can now apply for the award of the Lake Constance Circle for representational art. All those who are not older than 35 years in the coming year and who have completed or have already completed artistic training are eligible to participate. Three works in representational painting or drawing must be submitted.
From the applications received, a jury of experts selects around 30 artists who will be participating in an exhibition at the Galerie Bodenseekreis in Meersburg from March 2026. Following the exhibition, the funding prize, endowed with 4,000 euros, will be awarded. The award winner will also receive a solo exhibition at Galerie Fähnle in Überlingen in 2027.
The audience is also allowed to participate: During the exhibition, visitors can cast their vote for a work. After the end of the exhibition, the public prize of 1,000 euros will be awarded to the elected person.
