OPEN CALL ART MATTERS 18
We are looking for 2 artists for our group exhibition ART MATTERS III at our gallery in Cologne. Submissions for our new art competition, ART MATTERS 18, are now open and will remain open until Saturday 31 October at 6 pm CET! This time, we’re not setting a theme; we don’t want to limit your creativity!
We’re looking for 2 artists for our 3rd physical ART MATTERS group exhibition. We’ll select 2 additional artists as part of our 19th open call in early 2027.
Whether figurative or abstract, regardless of the medium: We’re not specifying any formal or thematic requirements! Surprise us!!
SELECTION PROCESS:
As part of our 18th ART MATTERS Open Call, we will select 9 international artists whose submitted works will be shown in our carefully curated online group exhibition ART MATTERS 18 from 7 to 16 November 2026 on our website and Instagram account.
A further 27 artists will be selected and receive an ‘Honourable Mention’ in our Instagram stories for the duration of the ART MATTERS 18 exhibition.
On Monday 16 November, we will announce the 2 winners of our competition and invite them to participate in the physical group exhibition ART MATTERS III at our gallery in Cologne (scheduled to open beginning of December 2027).
fee: In order to be able to continue this project, we have once again made the well-considered decision to charge a registration/processing fee of €20 (see below). This fee covers part of our administrative costs and is non-refundable.
deadline: Saturday 31 October 6 pm CET
