Denmark Residency Call

Open Call: AHC Residency
Applications are now open for both AHC Residency and AHC Remote Residency in spring and autumn 2027. Both residencies are five months of residency programs with a focus on artistic development, knowledge sharing and professional communities.

Artists are elected for a spring and an autumn semester each year during the periods: 1 February to 30 June and 1 September to 31 January.

AHC RESIDENCY
takes place on Thoravej 29 and offers a studio, a monthly fee, access to workshop facilities and a sparring and development program with meetings, excursions, workshops and open studios. AHC Residency is open to professional visual artists who are either EU/EEA citizens or have a long-term EU/EEA residence permit. You must have a master’s degree in visual arts or equivalent professional experience.

AHC REMOTE RESIDENCY
is for professional visual artists based in Denmark outside the capital. The Residency programme is especially aimed at visual artists who do not have the opportunity to work at AHC at Thoravej 29 in Copenhagen on a daily basis. The programme includes a monthly fee, a program of meetings, excursions, workshops and ‘open studios’, with access to AHC’s workshops as needed.

deadline:  Sunday, September 20, 2026.
