Art Center NEW AIR 2026
Art Center NEW is calling for applications from artists based in Asia for their NEW AIR 2026, a two-month artist-in-residence programme in Koganecho, Yokohama, Japan from 20 July to 20 September 2026.
Selected artists will develop their work while engaging with the local context. Following the residency, artists will have an open studio before NEW PLATFORM, an art fair held at Art Center NEW in September, and present their work during the event as a satellite exhibition.
Eligibility
Artists based in Asia (excluding Japan) are able to apply. Nationality and place of birth are not restricted.

Visa application fee support (up to JPY 10,000)
Daily allowance (JPY 5,000/day)
Production budget (up to JPY 150,000)
