Light Art Festival “Fürther Glanzlichter”.
Since 2018, the Fürth highlights have conjured up a very special glow in the cloverleaf city in late autumn and have long since become a shining highlight in the calendar of events. Because November has a very special meaning for Fürth: This month, the city was mentioned for the first time in a document over 1000 years ago and also celebrates its more than 200-year-old survey on the city of first class. November is thus the “birthday month” of Fürth – an occasion that is celebrated every year with the Fürth highlights.
Artists are invited to stage various places in the city with their light installations and to play them in an artistic way. The new edition of the highlights will take place on Friday, 6, and on Saturday, 7. November 2026, each from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Consequently, the given game topics of the event are anniversaries or commemorations, which will be celebrated in 2026. What specific anniversaries or historical moments the artists incorporate into their works remains free to them and opens up a multitude of creative possibilities.
